The YouSchools.org "Why My School is Cool" Video Contest is open to all students.
There is no cost or obligation to enter. All you need is a video camera, a video team,
and some creative ideas!
Everybody Wins! Entering the contest is a great way to:
· Involve your students in a fun real-world, learning experience· Create an exciting opportunity for a senior project, community service or club activity · Promote school spirit · Tell the world why YOUR school is a great place to learn and work
Winning video team receives:
· An HD video camera for its school· A choice of Apple iPod Nanos or iTunes gift certificates for each participating member of the team. (See Rules and Guidelines.) · Special postings on the home page of YouSchools.org and on YouTube.com

CONTEST RULES TO ENTER: There is no cost or obligation to enter. Simply have an authorized administrator email us at info@youschools.org to let us know that your school wants to participate. (All inquiries are subject to verification.) We will send you a complete Guidelines Kit, including tips on what makes a great video. All final video entries must be submitted to YouSchools.org on a DVD in QuickTime format or uploaded directly to YouSchools.org as a Flash video file (.FLV) by January 15, 2010. Videos should be 3-5 minutes in length and file size is limited to 30MB. ELIGIBILITY: All entrants must be fully registered students at the school from which the entry is submitted at the time of submission. YouSchools.org reserves the right to reject any video. Students may submit individual entries or may work in groups of up to 5 students. Schools may submit as many entries as they wish, but each participating student/team of students may only submit one entry. Each submission must be attributed to an author(s) otherwise it will be assigned to the entire school. All submissions must be approved and submitted by the authorized representative to YouSchools.org. All entrants agree that by submitting their entries in the contest they give up the right to any compensation. By submitting an entry (ies) the school representative agrees that they have complied with the school's privacy and media appearance policy for students and staff. DEADLINES and SELECTION OF WINNER: Video Submission by January 15, 2010. Once all videos are submitted, students will be able to go online to YouTube to rate their favorite videos. The highest rated videos will be judged by YouSchools.org who will select the winner on or about January 29, 2010. Winners will be notified through the entrant's school.
